Heart of the Leader

(Heart of the Leader is a conference like journey for leaders in ministry.) A select group of people will be able to enroll in this program. Below is the initial letter to those currently signed up or hoping to enroll.

Dear Heart of the Leader Participant,

Thank you for your interest in this incredible journey we are looking to engage in together. From personal experience I have seen and tasted the life change that a similar series of events have had in my life and I expectantly look forward to you having similar experiences.

We are working on the details for this set of journey’s together and I wanted to personally update you on where we are at this point.

1. We have set July 2010 as the initial conference/journey together. It will be 5 full-days in length (more details on the actual dates and locations will be available soon).
2. We will have a second (required) gathering of 5 days within the year following (tentative Feb. 2011 or later).
3. You will be asked to cover fees for this experience, so begin planning now for this time together. I personally paid over $1200 dollars for a similar experience and would pay two times that if necessary. The cost will not be near that amount. We hope to make this affordable but nice. We are working on these details still. Have your church, your friends and your families invest in you. This will make a life-long difference!
4. The location will be in the Philippines as we work on a good balance of nice location, but try to keep the cost accessible for all.

I know that time and finances could be an issue for all of us, but let me strongly encourage you to make this a priority. If any of the below list are things that define you, you really need to seek God about coming to this event.

– Do you ever feel alone? Even in a crowded ministry setting?

– Are you lacking contentment?

– Is it possible that life and ministry have “clogged your spiritual arteries”?

– Do you know that you have calling and purpose, but lack passion and energy to continue?

– Do you feel as if you often fake it in ministry?

If you have others in your life that fit the requirements of this journey, you will want them to get on the list now. We have very limited spaces for this as we want to keep the program very personal and impactful. We are already close to capacity. Here are the requirements for yourself and others:

– 5 years in ministry (any position is ok…not just youth ministry)

– Called to full-time ministry (any position is ok…not just youth ministry)

– Home church/pastor referral

– 25 years old or older in age

– Commit to at least two, 5 day gatherings (journeys) at your expense. Plus regular online or local interactions in between gatherings.

– Commit to assignments/books 4-6 in total.

– Commit to develop fellowship with other participants and the mentors.

Also, know that there may be an application process involved in order to insure you are qualified for this journey. Keep a watch on your email for this as well.

We hope to have these events in locations that will be exciting for you to attend for the 5 days and offer extra day accommodations so your family can attend for a relaxing weekend together as well. More details will follow.
